Miles for Smiles: Nicholas Associates' Impactful Charity Walk Initiative
At Nicholas Associates, we believe in making a meaningful impact in the communities where we live and work. Throughout March, our team embarked on a remarkable journey as part of our Wider Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
The ’50 Miles for £50′ challenge was a unique opportunity for our team to combine fitness with charity work. The premise was simple: walk 50 miles during March, and we would donate £50 to a local food bank. But here’s where it got even better – for every 10 miles walked beyond the initial goal, the business committed an additional £10 to the donation fund.
James Travis represented Nicholas Associates in this challenge, and we’re thrilled to share that he achieved over 130 miles. As a result, his donation budget amounted to £130.
James reached out to Chris Hardy at S6 Foodbank to understand their most pressing needs. His response was immediate and heartfelt – “Nappies, nappies, nappies!” so James set out to fulfil their request.
Accompanied by his daughters, he delivered a substantial contribution of nappies to S6 Foodbank. The joy and gratitude expressed by Chris upon receiving our donation was truly humbling. Knowing that our efforts will directly impact families in need within our community fills us with pride.
We understand the importance of giving back, and initiatives like the ’50 Miles for £50′ challenge display our commitment to social responsibility. We remain dedicated to making a positive difference, one step at a time.
